In English, the title of this oil painting would probably mean something like “looking for vastness” or “setting off to somewhere” and it was exactly the feeling I had when standing at the beach near Tadoussac, Quebec.
After a few long months of winter in the north of Canada, during which a lot of good (and not so good) things happened, seeing and feeling the Atlantic ocean was exhilarating. Knowing my partner was there with me, still, after everything that happened, breathing fresh air, together, felt like a new beginning. Off to new shores, where sky and ocean meet again.
